| Functional capacity evaluation (FCE) - Isernhagen approach
Action Plus, Health and Injury Management Clinics, Inc. uses the Isernhagen Work Systems FCE protocol which is highly recognized as a disability assessment tool. The Isernhagen system is the current mandatory standard for Rehabilitation service providers to the Alberta Worker's Compensation Board. Our FCE examination includes:
- Assessment performed by a Registered Physiotherapist
- 5-hour examination performed over two days
- Complete initial musculo-skeletal assessment to identify impairments
- Objective, criteria based assessment
- Built in check points to determine consistency of effort and validity of the results
- Job matching according to the Physical Demands Analysis

Action Plus can offer a mobile FCE system in designated areas.
These presently include:
The FCE is performed using our mobile Isernhagen FCE system and is performed by a registered Physiotherapist using an identical protocol to our clinical FCE. This service is offered on request only.
