Functional Restoration Programs
Functional Restoration Programs aim to restore an individual’s function within the home and community in order to re-establish an individual’s vocational potential. The program identifies and addresses functional and lifestyle barriers (e.g. poor sleep, lack of daily routine, deconditioning, etc.) in order to develop an individualized program to assist the individual in gradually resuming pre-injury/pre-illness roles and responsibilities. The functional restoration program provides individuals with the tools and education that they require to manage daily life and improve their function in the pursuit of home, community and vocational activities. Successful functional restoration can be delivered in an interdisciplinary format involving Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Kinesiology as required. |
