Physical Demand Analysis

The Physical Demands Analysis or Worksite Analysis offers a method to measure physical and environmental demands of a given job. During the assessment information is gathered regarding job practices, durations, specific requirements, and materials used in order to determine the level of work of the position (e.g., sedentary, light, medium, heavy). Often this physical demand analysis is compared to the results of an Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) in order to determine if the individual is capable of returning to work safely.
